How to get your designs ready

  • How do I upload designs for each product?

When you have added all the products you want to purchase and customize, or just feel inspired to start getting creative, simply click on the cart icon (located in the upper right corner) and then select ‘Customize’.

You will be taken to the cart area with the ‘Products & Designs’ overview, where you can upload your previously prepared designs or create them directly in our powerful online tool. Here you can add additional designs for each product, specify the desired quantity for each one, and edit, duplicate or delete designs according to your preference.

For most of our products, there are two possibilities to upload your designs:

    • Direct File Upload: Use our templates to upload files previously prepared in an external software.
    • Online Customisation Tool: Use our personalisation tool to edit your files and create designs from scratch.

It’s important to keep in mind that each product in Qustommize consists of a combination of a base item and its specific characteristics (size, finish, colour, etc.). For example, if you buy glossy laminated stickers and matte laminated stickers, they will be considered as two different products in your cart.

  • Using the customisation tool

After clicking on the cart and then on ‘Customise’, you will be taken to the cart area with the ‘Products and designs’ summary. Find the product you want to customise and click on ‘Create your design online’ to use our customisation tool. If you have already created your design, you will see the option ‘Edit design’.

Our customisation tool is comprehensive and user-friendly. We have prepared a separate tutorial that you can consult on this page to take full advantage of all its features.

  • Image resolution and colour modes of uploaded designs

mages uploaded to our customiser should ideally have a resolution of 300 dpi and be at least the size of the final desired product. But don't worry if you can't verify this information. Just make sure your images are displayed at the right size on screen and are not pixelated.

Our system allows you to enlarge the images but will alert you if significant quality is lost and the images start to appear pixelated. However, if the image is not the best, but it is the only one you have, you can still proceed with your order. The choice is yours!

The print colour mode is always CMYK. If you upload files in RGB or PANTONE inks, there will be a conversion for printing, which may cause changes, especially in the more vibrant colours that a screen can reproduce, but a printer cannot. If colour is very important for your project, it’s best to use external software and upload your files already prepared, to have more control.

  • Uploading designs prepared with external software

Are you familiar with professional design programs? If so, we recommend downloading our templates for more precise control of your design.

Search for your product, download the templates and start designing. Please always prepare your files in CMYK colour mode and at 300 dpi resolution. We do not print PANTONE colours.

After clicking on the cart and then on ‘Customize’, you will reach the cart area with the ‘Products and designs’ summary. Find the product you want to customize and click on ‘Upload your prepared designs’ to upload your files. If you want to send a sample file for clarification in addition to your prepared print file, you can upload both and specify which is which using the options provided after the upload.

If all this is new or complicated for you, don't worry! You can always use our integrated customisation tool to create your design easily.

  • How to use the templates

    Most templates have three areas:

A - Bleed zone. Extend your design background up to here. It will form the bevel on products that have it. In the rest, it's a necessary area for any small shifts that may occur during cutting.. DO NOT place any data or text here (they won't be visible).

B - Final size of the product.

C - Safe zone. It's advisable that the texts and main areas of your designs do not extend beyond this mark, as they could be cut off or look unattractive.

Note: Turn off the "off" layer before saving the file.

  • Supported file formats

In our customisation tool, you can work with a wide range of graphic formats, such as PG, PNG, PDF, EPS, AI, SVG, and even edit vector files.

For uploading prepared files, we accept JPG, PNG, PDF, EPS, and AI formats. If you upload a vector file, remember to embed images, outline text, and avoid using overprinting to prevent issues.

  • Can I get a sample preview?

If you use our customisation tool to create or edit your design, you will automatically see a preview of your design before leaving the tool.

If you decide to use external software to prepare your design, make sure it’s in line with our templates.

In both cases, to receive a digital preview, you must complete your order. In the ‘Checkout Process’ area of the shopping cart (located after ‘Products and Designs’), you will find the option ‘I want to receive a preview image’. You can select this option to receive a digital preview and verify the design before production begins, ensuring everything is in place. Please note that if you do not select this option, a preview will not be sent by default, unless we have any concerns about the design.

Please note that only previews of completed and paid orders will be sent. We have no control over abandoned carts, and backorders will only be processed once we receive confirmation of payment.

  • If I opt to receive a preview, will the production be delayed?

Once the preview has been sent, the order is paused. As soon as the customer confirms to us that the preview is correct, the order is resumed, and the estimated production and shipping dates are reset.

We aim to send previews within 2 days of receiving the order. Therefore, if the customer confirms the preview promptly, that should be the only delay over the initial order dates.

  • I have chosen one way to upload my files (direct upload or customisation tool) and I want to switch to the other.

Simply delete that design and create another one by choosing the correct option.

If you only have one design for the product, first create a new design by clicking on ‘Add an extra design for this product’, to avoid the product disappearing from the cart.

  • Can I make more than one design per product?

For each order of products with the same characteristics, you can include up to ten different designs without additional charges to the unit price for the total quantity.

The minimum order for each product is based on the total number of designs, not on each individual design. For example, if a product has a minimum order of 10 units, you can buy 10 units and customise them with any number of designs you prefer.

This policy applies to most of our products, although there are some exceptions. For products with custom shapes and screen-printed products (such as screen-printed t-shirts and some one-colour printed items), designs cannot be combined. In these cases, you will need to place a separate order for each design you want.

  • Do you need more than ten different designs for the same product?

If you require more than ten designs within a product with the same features, you don't have to worry about doing anything special. The page will inform you when you have exceeded the limit of free designs and will apply a one-time charge of €2 for each additional design, taxes included.

For example, if you need eleven designs, you will still enjoy the full unit price and only pay a surcharge of €2, since you have only exceeded the free limit by one design.

This charge covers additional server resources used to handle multiple designs and compensates for the extra time required in the production of an order with numerous designs.

  • Do you have predefined designs?

Within our customisation tool, you will find tabs that give you access to a wide variety of resources:

    • Pre-designed templates to inspire you and facilitate your creative process.

    • A free photo library to incorporate into your creations.

    • Backgrounds with photographs, textures, frames and motifs to customise your designs.

    • We also offer an AI tool that will help you create unique and original designs.

This set of resources will expand over time, giving you even more options for your creations. There’s no excuse not to create your own designs in the easiest way!

  • I can't create the design, can you do it for me?

If you can't create the design yourself, don't worry! We are here to help you. We offer a design service for a fee of €20, tax included.

To order this service, simply add the product ‘Design’ to your cart (one for each design you need). You won’t need to upload any files to your order.

Once we receive your order, we will contact you to gather all the details necessary to create your design according to your specifications.

  • I made a mistake in my design, can I edit the design?

Log in to your user account and check the status of your order. If it’s already ‘in production’, it’s not possible to make changes. However, you can try contacting us by email; if the actual production has not started, we may unlock this area for you to upload a new design or edit the one you already have.

Follow these steps to edit your design:

    • Log in with your user account.
    • Click on ‘My account’ and go to ‘Order history’.
    • Choose the order with the design(s) you want to change and click on ‘see details’.
    • Click on ‘designs’, and then on ‘edit design’.
